Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade
The stats of an item are improved through upgrading it, also referred to as "upping". Each upgrade increment gives a linear increase in a given stat.
Players can recycle up to six items at once to gain an ability to gauge the level of each of the item's upgraded components. The cost of recycling items scales according to their rarity and level.
Upgrade components
A level upgrade in Guild Wars 2 is a process that can increase the stats of your weapon and armor. This can be done through a number of means such as using upgrade components and upgrading an item's mark levels or rarity. Many items can also be reforged to increase their value.
You can purchase upgradeable items throughout the game. They are available in the world as well as rewards for missions. Players can also make them. The main way to upgrade gear is through the use of upgrade components, which are components that can be slotted into equipment. Most equipment has upgrade slots, and the majority require a certain upgrade level. Some upgrade components provide specific bonuses, while others give an overall bonus.
There are many types of upgrade components available in the game. These include universal upgrades, inscriptions and jewels. Universal upgrades, like gemstones and enchantments, can be put on any equipment, and offer less than upgrades for specific equipment. Glyphs are only available in gathering tools. They provide a variety bonuses, from increasing the speed at which an item gathers to supplying additional crafting materials.
To upgrade an item, simply select it in your inventory and open the Upgrade window. This will display an overview on the right side of the screen, showing what the expected stats are after the upgrade, along with any materials or components required. The Upgrade button at the bottom will show Blocked if you do not have enough of either.
The upper-right side of the screen shows the amount of upgrade components needed for an item. The price of an upgrade increases depending on the rarity and level of the item. However, you can reduce the cost by purchasing upgrades from a seller, or trading them with other players.
Many weapons can be improved with a prefix, such as a rune or an insignia. upgrade item can be enhanced by adding a suffix. These upgrades include an adjective in the item's name, such as "Radiant" or "Minor Vigor".
Glyphs
Glyphs are an effective instrument for communicating visual information. They are animated to grab the attention of the viewer and stimulate curiosity in the brain. The glyphs' animation mimics the body language, making them more effective in transmitting the message of a language barrier. Glyphs also improve the recall of a message by evoking an experience of familiarity in the brain.
Each glyph has a set of values that it could improve a stat by, as shown on the item when you open the glyph in the Glyph Storage or when you use it to enchant an Artifact. This range is the maximum value that a glyph could increase a stat's value by, not the amount that it will actually increase the stat by. The actual value of the glyph is determined by the tier and quality of the item you're enchanting it to.
The majority of upgrade components inserted into items can't be removed or replaced without removing them, with the exception of legendary upgrades and equipment. However, if you have an unusable rune or glyph that hasn't yet been added to your gear, you can move it to another piece of equipment by utilizing the upgrade Glyphs context menu within the Glyphs panel. This will create an Glyph Set that includes the selected glyph.
You can remove the glyph using the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage tool. The item on which the glyph is installed will be destroyed, but the upgraded item can be salvaged by removing the glyph fragments.
When you remove an item after putting a glyph on it, the shards from the glyph will disappear. You can also put an inscription on your equipment to increase its value. Deferred Damage, for example can store damage, and then be dealt out slowly to the wearer rather than all at once. This is useful for players who suffer many hits from enemies, but don't want to be overwhelmed.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens let players change the affixes of their weapons and equipment and they can be obtained in a variety of ways like mistery boxes or as a rare drop from skulled creatures, or even from killing bosses. Each reroll provides the player with an unspecified affix, which is typically better than what they had before. Reroll tokens are also a great way to reroll weapon stats, which can be upgraded to increase damage or other perks.
Rerolled items are not listed in the menu of item upgrades , but they are still able to be upgraded. Rerolled items can be recycled by pressing the "upgrade" button that alters the layout of the item window and allows up to six items to be selected to recycle. The level gauge is boosted by recycling an item. This amount is determined by the rarity of the item and its level. Thus, items with higher levels are more valuable for recycling than items with lower levels.
Players can also use Reroll Tokens and Star Remnants to roll rerolling weapons to upgrade units. Rerolls roll the % chance of a particular weapon trait; if it rolls higher, the weapon will be upgraded, and if it rolls lower, it remains the same. Weapons can be repeated up to three times.
Rerolling is a fantastic way to upgrade an item. However, players should be aware that the total ilvl will be diminished by the number of that it took to reroll it to the final level. This effect of lowering is most effective with Diadems and rings that don't have other options for raising ilvls.
Players have complained that the reroll system is expensive. It's more fair to let people pay for it with money or food items which allows players to make adjustments to their builds without having to invest excessive amounts of time. The developers do not plan to introduce paid rerolls at this point in the game's development. Instead, they're planning include an ability to change races in the future.
Leveling
There are a variety of ways to upgrade an item. The first way to level up an upgrade for an item is to increase the upgrade amount. This increases the value of an upgrade for any stat. The second option is to increase the effect of an upgrade, which can increase the damage or healing of the stat. In addition there is the possibility to upgrade the base item to a higher upgrade type. After this, the new item will maintain its iLevel but it will benefit from the upgrade effects of the upgraded type of item.
It is important to keep in mind that upgrades are not guaranteed. In the majority of cases, a better roll is determined by glyphs. However there are occasions where a higher or more special roll may occur. The type of item will determine the iLevel. If you upgrade a unique or rare item to a special kind of item, it is likely to gaining an upper level.
Upgrading items can be costly, particularly if you're upgrading a piece of equipment from a standard to the legendary track. The cost of upgrading an item will be contingent on the iLevel it's built upon and the amount of upgrade levels. Additionally, certain upgrade tracks require crests to get to the next upgrade level.
